REVIEWS

Naked Heart by Tabitha Robin gripped me from the very beginning. The ease in which her pain spilled across the page left me turning page after page. I was left ragged and bereft, yet filled with a certain fulfillment of knowing. Tabitha Robin truly lays herself bare upon the page in this emotionally gripping glimpse at her past self. Robin continues to get better and better as she writes; I anticipate seeing this book in many, many readers’ hands who want to both understand her and themselves better!

This reader highly recommends Dark Mask, Naked Heart, and Hate, but don’t stop there!

AUTHOR: Tabitha Robin

These poems tell the story of a woman who has been physically abused and mentally tormented by the hands and heart of a man who was suppose to love her. In her words, she shared the emotional roller coaster of insanity and solitude; from contemplating suicide to drug addiction. Somewhere between heaven and hell she lay undecided not knowing if death or life would be her savior. The poem “Black wings” displays the acronyms to the REVELATION OF LIFE. And, “Blood of hate, In the category of all, and Hate, reveal the shameful truth of a woman scorned who has reached her end.

Because my life was so much like these poems, I am able to relate to the shame, heartache, bitterness and hate. I believe that kindred spirits uniquely connect and bind beyond a world of understanding. Prose such as “tear me with a knife dull” took me back to a time when drugs tore a deep wound in my relationship with my family. The vow of trust was broken and the fear of doubt was subconsciously embedded; it has taken years of sobriety to mend those wounds. Only a scar remains to remind me of how well I’ve healed.

Description:
The Burning Bush is a book of poetry. It is a part of my heart, mind, spirit, body, and soul. I started writing this book three years ago. I was writing to pour out part of myself and to allow myself freedom. If we bottle ourselves up we shall surely die. I needed these words to pour out of me. This book is about my life before and after Christ Jesus. It is my testimony, my burning bush. I hope my words help someone who reads this. I hope it will touch and show them that life can get better if you go in the right direction. I have traveled down many paths in my life. I have strayed off the right path many times, but thanks to my Lord and Savior, I have been placed back where I belong. I look at my life now and see I am not where I once was. I am still not where I should be, but each day I strive to be the best I can be.

     Wonderful Collection

             Danielle Ohio  (2/10/2008)

“The Burning Bush” written by Tabitha Robin, is a wonderful collection of such heartfelt poems. This author has successfully expressed to her readers, not just a vision but her religious beliefs. As I read this book, I could feel the author’s strong, moral background. I believe this book will help others to notice their life around them and to appreciate the “things” that they possess. She helps her readers to understand that there is more to life then material possessions. I could not help but notice my-self shaking my head in agreement of her words and muttering “I never thought of it that why.” I would like to wish her all the best with her book and encourage her to continue writing. I look forward to her next collection. ~ Reviewed by Danielle E. Hiner; author of “Growing with Joe” a memoir about raising a special needs child. www.freewebs.com/daniellehiner

Brilliant

Christopher Lawson USA  (7/6/2007)

Tabitha Robin's collection of poetry, entitled, The Burning Bush is simply put, brilliant! She writes in a style of her own, yet is reminiscent of the likes of Emily Dickinson; this has such a quality that you cannot help but laugh, cry and read them out loud to your friends and family. Such poetry is rare these days, but it is such a gift when one does come across such a collection! High praise to Ms. Robin for her exploring of the human condition, as well as personal pain, love, and overall her strong faith, with unflinching and clear language. I eagerly await to read more of this talented poet's work and congratulate her on a job very very well done! Five out of five stars for The Burning Bush! Christopher M. Outstanding!!

Jeremy United States  (6/26/2007)

The Burning Bush by Tabitha Robin is a fantastic collection of poetry (and a few surprises as well)! Tabitha shows her long and windy road to the present in her writing. She wonderfully weaves her words using rhyme and rhythm on some, while mixing witty and elegantly laid out arrangements on others—all of which will quickly penetrate to your heart. Tabitha really opens her soul for all to see—and at the same time, the reader will ultimately find themselves searching deep within their own souls. Her words will resonate inside your mind long after you put the book down. The Burning Bush demonstrates a standard of excellence that echo’s from the poets of old. Anyone who reads this book will certainly be in for a treat! 5 Stars!

The Best Poetry Book I've Ever Read

C.P. Murphy New York, USA  (6/25/2007)

Tabitha Robin’s faith shines in her book, The Burning Bush. Her words were so beautifully written that I found it hard to stop reading until there were no more poems to look forward to. My favorite is, The Old Historical Pines Bar, because it reminds me how people are influenced and how one man’s simple act can affect the lives of others. I found myself nodding my head as I read her poetry because I could relate to every single one of them. This is the best book of poetry that I have ever read; truly enjoyable. Tabitha Robin did a wonderful job; may God bless her!

Julia Johnson USA  (6/23/2007)

This is an excellent, revealing, and heart-felt book and I discovered much about the Author’s life though this work of poetry. Tabitha’s faith in Jesus Christ is most important to her and many of her poems are about Him. She is and always will be a Daddy’s girl. She is a very proud mother of three children and sadly lost a child. Tabitha has had two failed and abusive marriages but has found a true love in a Scottish man. She has two younger sisters and takes that responsibility seriously. Then besides being a Poet she paints as well. I enjoyed her tribute to different colors like yellow, green, red, blue, and purple. She is also fond of rainbows and there color schemes. I did have some favorite poems in this book and they are worth checking out: “Name”, “He and I”, “Anchor”, “I Am”, “Last Name” and “Circle of Life”. I would recommend this book for any one, any age, although it divulged much about the Author. I also related to many of her poems as you can tell as I listed six of them I liked. Tabitha has a talent to communicate clearly and connects to her reader in an innocent and honest way. My hope for her is to continue with writing and sharing with more books in her future.                FIVE STAR REVIEW!!!

Tabitha, an Indian princess, has a destiny she dreams of.  John of the Pike Clan also dreams of a destiny.  Each of them dreams of a destiny with another person unbeknownst to themselves.  Thus each begins their own adventures to whereabouts unknown with adventures unknown to meet their destinies.  Each has faith in God although they see God (the same God) in different names and lights. Their faith is a wonderful means to which they carry themselves through their lives and adventures they are about to embark on. The adventures are numerous and enjoined.  Mighty evils meet them along the way (too numerous to mention) and their faith is all that holds them together. They end up meeting and realizing that they each were the other’s unknown destiny. Love befalls the two of them, and with their faith their triumphs to each other’s souls are wonderful and of many a kind. Life without faith is not within their vocabulary.

“The Linking Stones” by Tabitha Robin, is an absolute must read especially for those who believe in following their faith. Numerous adventures and battles of faith abound in this hair-raising tale of Good vs. Evil. A must read for adventure, faith, beauty and romance. I say kudos to Tabitha on a wonderfully written adventurous tale of faith. I’ve never seen it done better.

Book Reviews

Linking Stones,  a review by W. T. Jackson.

Tabitha Robyn shows her writing skills as well as her imagination in this short novel.  This novel is her first novel, as I understand. I was her editor for the book’s initial re-writing. I enjoyed the story and characters very much.

John, from Scotland, Tabitha, an Indian princess in America, are bound together by God’s plan for their lives. Each has a stone in a cave where they live, each must decipher it’s meaning, and then set out to search for the other.

Her dialogue is clean and crisp, and her character descriptions are very detailed. The hardest part of writing for her, most probably, was the dialects spoken by all the different characters. American Cherokee Indians don’t speak the old Scottish tongue (Gaelic). So, the two understand each other in a deeper more practical level, and in the spirit as well.

Many writers are Spiritualists, but Tabitha writes in a spiritual way; aided by the Holy Spirit (because she is a born again Christian), so therefore, her story evolves into marriage and leadership for the Lord by John and Tabitha. But before all that can happen they have to overcome personal obstacles and absolute

This is an action packed adventure story, chucked full of romance and spiritual things. It’s a great write. Try it. You’ll like it…I did.

Review of “The Linking Stones” by Tabitha Robin

“The Linking Stones” is a story of a young Cherokee maiden and a brave Scottish war hero. These two gifted individuals are plagued by strange dreams that are somehow connected not only to their futures but to the unusual stones they each possess. Though separated by miles of ocean, they are drawn together to meet and face unimaginable forces of evil. As they follow the path God has marked for them, the truth behind the stones and what they are called to do is revealed.

Tabitha has artfully pulled from her imagination a unique illustration of the righteousness of God and the vile evil of Satan. She has created some of the most unusual creatures to depict the essence of evil whose mannerisms are enough to make your skin crawl. Ms. Robin uses her gift of story telling to weave a tale of good versus evil. Our hero and heroine call upon their faith in God and the power of the stones to defeat the enemy. In real life we have God’s Word, the sword of the Spirit, as our own “magic stone”. I was impressed with the author’s ability to weave a tale of fantasy as a tool to spread the Good News of Christ.

"The Linking Stones," written by author & poet Tabitha Robin, She is

Well-crafted fictional/fantasy novel which young adults will love to. It's an interesting and unusual book. The author displays a tuned sense of imagination. At last, I can say it was a delight to read. This novel proves what a great imagination the writer has and her writing talent shows that she has the ability to make her characters come to life which mesmerizes the audience and forces then to stay focused & lost till the end comes. “Soulful Ink” is a book of inspirational poetry. It is complied with poems about my Faith, my family, my nation, my heritage and my love. It is my soul that you read; from the ink of my soul you see my heart. This is my second book following my first book called “The Burning Bush” which also is a book of poetry. You may ask why I have titled this book “Soulful Ink” well this is the reason why. 2 Corinthians 3:3 ‘Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the Epistle of Christ ministered by us (Christ was the Author of the Epistle of which Paul speaks, i.e., ‘soul saved from sin and darkness’), written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God (which is the highest commendation of all); not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (referring to changed hearts). I write these words from the very depths of my soul, sharing my Faith with each of my readers. Please join me on my journey into faith, My “Soulful Ink”.

Soulful Ink Faith in the Cross of Christ

by Tabitha Robin

Words of encouragement, wonderment and faith can be found in these poetic words, offering a glimpse into the writer's heart and faith. I mostly liked Dear John and Fallen Angel. The words in Dear John are the same words I'd write to my own husband. Fallen Angel speaks to the heart of true faith in God, seeing the good and the evil and choosing your own path. I give this collection of poems a 4.

Review for Soulful Ink by Tabitha Robin

by Tabitha Robin

Tabitha's poetry is textured, reflective and flows peacefully. You can hear her heart mending with each page penned. She’s expressive and spends herself on behalf of the weary, walking her readers through inspirational words to a better way of life.

Every poem-had purpose. For me there were many favorites. "Higher Expectations,” "Go!", and in her poem, "Good Friday" she brilliantly takes us on a journey that many Authors never do.

“Such a big crowd lined down the streets,
Voices raise in screams and mockery,
There is a man, covered in blood;
Carrying a Cross,
O, the pain I felt as I watched this sight,
My heart felt as if it were breaking into pieces,
I watched as the guards beat Him,
They were spitting in His face,
Pulling out His beard, No word came from His mouth;
He had a crown of thorns buried into his head,
He did not try to stop them at all,
Barely making it to His destination,
And could hardly go on, (Just a portion)

I highly suggest that everyone eat up the pages of 'Soulful Ink' and become inspired to find the freedom she speaks so eloquently about.
Eat it up. It’s good meat for the soul!

“Here is another soldier of the greatest army in the world--the ones who fight no wars that kill and the ones whose only weapon is love. If God is Not Real is one of many of my favorite poems in this astonishing, revitalizing and well penned book. It begs that you look deep within to answer the question that you want answered, the doubts that cloud your judgments and keep you from your eternal source. A lie can’t live that long, so why then are people still talking and fighting over a man who walked this earth more than two-thousand years ago? We should all know why by now—even those in denial, just go to prove the point. Talented Author, Tabitha Robin’s inspirations come from a place that is beautiful, untouched and full of reverence—from HIM. As a Christian, I was in awe once again for this great God that we so adore, the one who shed his blood for sinners and rose from the dead on the third day!

Bought With Blood, You are, Shoes, Hello God, Flower of Blood, My Hero, Show Me and Conservative Republican are some of my favorites and an attestation to the Author’s faith and love in Christ and a reminder to all—Christians and non-believers—to Go, just journey through the unknown and make it known. All honor and praise to him who reigns forever and ever, Amen.”
