AUTHOR: T.M. Crone

Sometimes what we think we need to do is exactly the opposite. For Lozan, she feels the need to find her ‘real home’ and she feels the need to make a journey to other side of the mountain. There, she hopes to find herself and her sense of home and belonging. What she comes to realize is that sometimes you are already in the place you need to be. She is given The Yellow Stone by an elder and is told the story that if you travel and find others with the same stone, you have found your home. But what Lozan really learns from this experience is that sometimes you have to make up your own mind.

I’ve had several dreams where I’m lost and can’t find my way back home, usually after dark. I liked this story because Lozan finds that everything she was looking for, she already had.
