AUTHOR: Colin Gailbrath
Randolph Lowe is an agent of British MI5. He is handed a mission to determine if a beautiful young woman with the alias Stella is one of the world’s most deadly assassins and if so, kill her. Randolph follows Stella around the world for months during which time he grows infatuated and falls in love. But there is more to Stella than he knows; she has her own dark secret. After being forced into making a terrible sacrifice, Stella is required to live her life as a lone killer, and more. Can the love of this man be enough to free her? Maybe, but only if he can find her.
Although I knew the genre of this work, I was surprised when it took a completely different turn. I usually don’t like reading a novella, especially when it is a good story because it inevitably leaves me wanting more. This was no exception. Stella is a good story, well written and with quite a surprise inside. I do believe that by developing the characters a little further and adding some additional back story this could be expanded and would make excellent novel. Well done.
