    Though she’d tried to deny it, Cassie Morgan really loved Matt. He had been her guide, her solace, and her friend. Any other man who showed her interest, were sized up to Matt, and they all would fail, but in reality, her relationship with Matt was a rather unhealthy one, as Matt was a ghost. He’d left the earth at age twenty seven, and in his death, his spirit remained as his life had ended. Cassie knew that nothing could ever come of this relationship, and decided that a trip with her friends to ‘Whispering Lake,’ was just what she needed to clear her head, but Matt was never far from her thoughts.

  By weird coincidence, Cassie found herself rooming with three brothers. Three good looking brothers; but there was something about Cole that caught her attention. He was gentle, and understanding, and did I mention good looking? One day together drew them closer than Cassie felt comfortable with, but still she was drawn to him. He even accepted her weird gift of seeing and talking to the dead, which Cassie felt made him unique, but she had no idea how unique Cole really was. 

   Back at home, Matt was sensing the danger, and was feverishly searching for a way to join her, learning that through the power of a ring he could for three days, loosen his bindings to the place he was, and become human again. As it happened, Cassie’s father also had the gift, but he hadn’t told her of it. He also knew of Matt’s presence and their close relationship, and he was the one who had told Matt that if he could secure Cassie’s love, he could remain alive. Matt could have a second chance at the life that was stolen from him many years earlier.

   Cole’s brother Michael recognized the ring Matt wore and he knew of its power. It didn’t take him long to figure out the truth, and he felt he needed to set things right. He was convinced that Cassie belonged with his brother!

   What an imagination this author has. This book’s a little winded, but well worth the rating.
