Yearly Harvest A True Story of Christmas

Author: Ryan Calloway

In the search for truth, Jin Duyen, a reporter explores the truths of Christmas traditions.  Taking her to Selah, quickly she is introduced to the pains and fears its residents face.  After a clash in the local restaurant, Jin quickly pairs with Amy Carson, a PI in pursuit of a missing person’s case.  It is evident from their first encounter; there is a gruesome darkness over the town.

In creating this story, Ryan Calloway does show great creativity and understanding of folklore legends and myths.   At times the dialog seem to break up, the plot itself seemed so unreal, the reader can lose the time line as actions and events often escalate too quickly.  Despite the creativity, the plot was rather predictable.  The ending did not feel complete.
