Author: Mary Hamby Collins

Much like the dreams of most children, Tammy Bryant packed her bag on the journey of a lifetime.  Bringing along her hopes and dreams as a recording artist, Tammy finds love and friendship, and then finds herself believing she lost it all.  Mary Hamby Collins, tells the story of a young woman from a small town who takes her dreams to Nashville.

Collins does create a diverse cast of characters to surround Tammy.  Often these characters appeared to have been thrown into the storyline.  Some of the characters and plot felt unarticulated and undefined.  Even though the characters did tend to offer more depth to the plot, the flow of the book out shadowed the positive gain.  With proper editing, work on character and scene descriptions, and delivery of storyline, this could be a great read.
