Deceit, Deception & Their Daughter. The Lies That Were Told.

Author: Leigha Hoffner

This is a story of severe sexual abuse handed down through two generation.  From the point of a child, the unknowing fears from such traumatic events that continue to take place repeat until they become a fixed tragedy.

As this topic was quite difficult to read, knowing these events to be true account from the author, it is difficult to read of so much pain. Most of the book is filled with pieces from the attacks. Rebecca, is characterized as the mother, failing to love her child. Allowing her only daughter to face the same abuse she had as a child, Hoffner does show how abuse is passed down.

This story has merit, but needs much attention. The book is riddled with errors both spelling and overall sentence structure. There are also many past/ present conflicts making this hard to understand for the reader. The characters need to be developed further. The book quickly focuses on the many attacks that take place and concentrates on that alone for most of the plot. With a few catch phrases shared to the readers, overall the story lacks the multi-dimensional element of a story.  The ending is just dropped to the readers. Left with an explanation of future releases expected, nothing is resolved.
