The Cold Case of Millersport: Amelia’s StoryAUTHOR: C.P. Murphy
Set during the War of 1812, Amelia is caught up in a struggle between a pre-arranged marriage and a love that she found for a stranger in the village. Henry, Amelia’s father seems to be labeled as a traitor as he is funding the Brits with cash. The merchant he gave the envelope to was killed as he too was labeled as being a traitor and wouldn’t give up the name of his cohort. Amelia is caught with Patrick by her “fiancé”. Patrick unwittingly turned Henry in as a traitor, not knowing he was Amelia’s father.
Amelia disappearance led to her terrible fate. Murder, lies and deceit keep the small town in turmoil. The ending is a real surprise, but I don’t want to give the story away, you’ll have to read Amelia’s story yourself.
C.P. Murphy kept me deeply intrigued during this entire story of murder, lies and secrets. It kept me hanging on every word until the end. The Cold Case of Millersport is truly a great read and shows suspense at its best. Amelia’s Story is fictional, but one wonders if the realism provided is actually a true story! I was enthralled all the way to the ending. Congratulations on a job well done C.P. Murphy. A definite must read in my book!
